15 Sexiest Women of Sci-Fi

Yes this is a tired topic and there have been dozens of these lists, but I just cant resist putting my two cents in on the sexiest women in Sci-Fi. If you disagree with me on these, let me know, this is just the opinion of one admirer of the female form. All of the pics are can be enlarged by just clicking on them if you feel the need. Enjoy!

1-Jessica Alba

She may not be the best actress in the world, but you can’t say she is not a simply beautiful woman. Her smile could burn up the atmosphere faster than the most out of control Global Warming doomsday scenario and she has a simply perfect body to boot.

2. Tricia Helfer

In her role as Number Six from Battlestar Galactica Tricia Helfer has shown not only is she an amazingly beautiful and sexy woman, but she is also an excellent actress. Her ability to shift from seductress, to schemer to politician in her various incarnations shows her tremendous range. This is one cyborg that can by my robot overlord anyday.

3 - Kate Beckinsale

With her two tours of duty as the super sultry vampire heroine in Underworld Kate turned the black bodysuit from a cliche into a Sci-Fi classic look. Her acting talents may be average at best but she has a unique look that is at once threatening and beautiful.

4. Summer Glau

Summer is every ones favorite adorable superhero. Whether it is in her role as River Tam in Firefly/Serenity or her more recent portrayal of the female terminator protector of young John Conner in the Sarah Conner Chronicles, she has more than proven her ability to imbue a character with a sense of innocence and power simultaneously. There is something supremely sexy about her ability to combine martial arts and classic dance with truly lethal grace.

5. Mila Jovovitch

Loosing points for her truly abysmal choice of roles in some of the worst Sci-Fi movies in recent years, Mila is still able to pull box office numbers with nothing more than her classic beauty and perfect form. Her performance in 5th Element as the confused, innocent and rarely clothed superweapon has already placed her in the pantheon of all time Sci-Fi Female Icons. Too bad she has never found a role since then worthy of her talent or looks.

6. Morena Baccarin

Although she has only had one major Sci-Fi role, it is legendary. Inara from Firefly/Serenity is the very definition of the smart, sexy, classy woman of the future. Morena is beautiful yet seems like a woman of the future. Somehow she managed to make a prostitute the most respectable character onboard serenity, and carried it off with casual ease.

7. Megan Fox

Another one hit wonder, Megan Fox is on the list on the strengthth of one of the sexiest scenes in the history of Sci-Fi. If you saw Transformers you know what I am talking about. Not a strong actress by anyones definition she does still manage to simply exude sexiness in any situation.

8. Jewel Staite

Jewel may not be the most classicly beautiful woman on this list, but it is her abillity to trasmit an aura of cute sexiness in every scene as Kaylee in Serenity/Firefly. Somehow managing to combine a space trucker casualness about sex, and a sweet girl next door naivete in the same scenes she lands on this list as the woman I would most want to walk down the isle with. I might jump at a one night stand with any of the girls on this list, but it is Jewels Kaylee that would win my heart.

9. Grace Park

Perhaps the most under appreciated lady on this list, Grace hides her spectacular body under the garb of a fighter pilot most of the time in her multiple role as Number 2/Sharon / Athena in Battlestar Galactica. Her Maxim photo shoot from several years ago exposed all of us to the fact that this is one unbelievably beautiful woman, and her performances on BSG consistently show her ability to portray a variety of characters.

10. Katee Sackhoff

The third member of the Battlestar Galactica cast to make the list, Katee is another woman who is forced to hide her sex appeal due to her tomboy role as BattleStar Galactica’s Top Gun fighter pilot. Her emmy worthy performance in the much maligned Bionic Woman remake from last year, however, allowed her to show off both her great looks and her spectacular talent. I hope we see a lot more of Katee in the years after BSG. She deserves much more attention from the Hollywood establishment than she has recived to date.

11. Natalie Portman

I Don’t know who’s fault her wooden perfomance in Star Wars E  I-III was but her excellent work in V for Vendeta redeemed her in my eyes at least. Beautiful and talented with a great career ahead of her, there is not much bad to say about Natlie despite the fact that Princess Amadala may be one of the most reviled characters in Sci-Fi history right alongside the young Anakin and the infinitely hated Jar-Jar Binx.

12. Jolene Blalock

Easilly one of the most exotic beauties ever to grace the small screen Jolene almost singlehandedly saved the ill fated and poorly executed Trek series Enterprise. Given ample opportunity in the show to expose both her acting skills and her body in any number of gratuitous ‘decontamination’ scenes. She has sadly almost disappeared since the shows cancellation with the exception of some truly awful Sci-Fi Channel original pictures. One hopes her career will make a comeback but we will always have the memories of the sexiest Vulcan in history.

13. Jeri Ryan

Finishing behind Jolene only due to the fact that she has managed to disappear even more completely than her fellow Trek Sex Symbol following the end of Star Trek Voyager. I personally found her to be beautiful but somehow just too barbi doll looking. No question she is a sexy woman, but I could not imagine wanting to spend time with her beyond the inevitable fantasy scenario. She just seems cold even when not portraying a Borg. But you cant complain about how she fill out a bodysuit!

14. Halle Berry

Ok, so Catwoman was awful, Storm was a real let down and Halle barely qualifies as a relevant Sci-Fi actress, but she is just to hot to ignore. Like many other of our Sci-Fi ladies, she does fill out a black leather bodysuit like a champ!

15. Angelina Jole

Of course she has to make the list. I deliberately put her last simply because she is an automatic number one or two on so many peoples lists it becomes a cliche. She is gorgeous, a first tier actress and in the news so much sometime the very sound of her name makes me nauseous. Her Sci-Fi entries have been fairly awful but somehow those pouty lips and perfect form make you forget how horrible the movie you are watching truly is. She is an Icon, and so though I could not leave her out, I felt it necessary to put her at the end of the list so all of the other lovely ladies could compete on their own merits.

  1. I think thus just may be your best blog entry to date. :P

  2. Speaking of hot women, do you guys have a comment policy here or can I just say whatever stupid thing I want. Also, it was a pretty good article considering it was just a bunch of pictures of incredibly sexy women you can find anywhere else on the Internet.

  3. [...] Gunslinger has posted a gallery of The 15 Sexiest Women of Sci-Fi. It’s not very informative, and it’s really not safe for [...]

  4. Well its not supposed to be informative ;)

  5. @ Taco, just keep it safe for work is all I ask :)

    PG-13 is fine.

  6. wot no Eve Miles, Claudia Christiensen or Teryl Rothery Sacrilege.

  7. Well not a huge fan of Eve looks wise, she is very strong on Torchwood but not what I would call super hot. Claudia has not aged well, but the force of her personality makes her as sexy as several on the list, I will admit that one as an oversight. I had to look up Teryl so that kind of takes her out of contention allready.

  8. blechhhhhhh ;-)

You just reminded me of what i wish i looked like!!!

  9. good list, but a little out of order i think…

the only problems i have with it are summer glau and Mila Jovovitch…
while they are not ugly or anything, i can think of a few ladies that should be here instead.

  10. no billie piper or freema agyeman?
